Quantron AG, specialist in sustainable passenger and freight transportation, and R&B AbfallTechnik GmbH Co. KG, an innovator in the field of waste collection logistics, cooperate to implement advanced solutions for alternatively fueled waste collection vehicles. The strategic partnership was announced during the IFAT 2024 fair in Munich.

As the world increasingly prioritizes sustainability and environmental protection, the efficient disposal of waste has become a crucial factor. R&B AbfallTechnik GmbH Co. KG brings its expertise in waste collection logistics, while QUANTRON contributes its extensive knowledge of alternative drivetrain and hydrogen technology. Together, they aim to reinvent waste disposal technologies and pave the way for a greener future.

The partnership will focus on developing and implementing modern vehicle technologies for the collection of municipal and commercial waste. By utilizing electric drivetrain and hydrogen technology, both companies aim to achieve a measurable reduction in environmental pollution. Additionally, they will explore alternative financing and utilization models to ensure sustainable and efficient waste collection.

During IFAT 2024, QUANTRON will showcase its QLI FCEV, an innovative fuel cell electric vehicle, which perfectly aligns with the partnership’s objectives. Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to witness it during the truck-in-action show. The QUANTRON truck is the only available fuel cell powered truck in the light segment. The IFAT fair, known as the largest waste management event in Europe, provides an ideal platform for QUANTRON and R&B AbfallTechnik to showcase their innovative solutions to industry professionals and municipalities. The collaboration represents a significant milestone in the journey towards sustainable waste management practices.

Additionally, R&B AbfallTechnik joined the Clean Transportation Alliance (CTA), an association initiated by QUANTRON, bringing together technology companies, experts, and energy suppliers dedicated to achieving the common goal of decarbonizing the transportation sector. R&B AbfallTechnik’s decision to join the Clean Transportation Alliance demonstrates their commitment to environmental sustainability.
