On 29 June 2021 Svempas transfers the rights to the trademark to Scania.

For several years, Svempas has had a strong connection to Scania when it comes to so called showtrucks and custom styling. On 29 June 2021 Svempas transfers the rights to the trademark to Scania.

Svempas is a company with versatile business within the vehicle industry, that, among others, includes styling and modifications of Scania trucks. The company is owned by the renown profile Sven-Erik ”Svempa” Bergendahl. He started his business in 1965, and has styled various trucks since the early 1970s.

Because of Svempas strong, indirect connection to Scania, an agreement has been reached where the trademark Svempas is acquired by Scania. Svempas will continue with their operations, and will use the company name even in the future.

We strongly value the name Svempas. Scania has, as previously communicated, entered a large transformation on both products, from fossil based to electrified and renewable, and our ways of working. To own the rights to the name and by that be able to administer Svempas unique trademark together with our own strong brand ensure that this co-operation joins in on our transformation,” says Anders Williamsson, manager Industrial Operations at Scania
