SAF-HOLLAND, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of axle systems and chassis components for commercial vehicles, is expanding its production capacity in Turkey. A new production line for Haldex ModulT brake calipers is being built at the Düzce site. With this investment, the company is strengthening its local manufacturing expertise and underscoring its commitment to further growth in the region.
The first plant in Düzce was established in 2016 with 23 employees. Today, SAF-HOLLAND TÜRKIYE employs around 100 people. The SAF air suspension unit from the INTRA series is manufactured there for the Turkish market and neighboring regions. A significant milestone was reached in December 2023 with the production of the 250,000th SAF axle. The expansion of the product portfolio to include local production of Haldex ModulT brake calipers is now the next logical step in meeting the growing demand for high-quality brake components.
“With the new production line, we can supply our customers even faster and more flexibly,” says Bilal Azizoglu, Managing Director of SAF-HOLLAND TÜRKIYE. ”Not only do we offer shorter delivery times and the highest quality, but we are also sending a clear signal of our confidence in the location and our commitment to the markets in Turkey and beyond.”

The new production line was installed at the second plant in Düzce. The new building has a total area of 7,500 squaremeters and was specially designed to integrate state-of-the-art manufacturing and quality standards. In addition to additional production capacity, new jobs will also be created here in the long term.
The production line was planned and implemented in close cooperation with Haldex experts from Sweden. Their comprehensive expertise in brake technology was directly incorporated into the development of the production processes. This is an impressive demonstration of how the SAF-HOLLAND Group can successfully leverage synergies from the combination of SAF-HOLLAND and Haldex to deliver innovative solutions, enhanced competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
