Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is expanding the range of Multivan models with an eight-seater version. It complements the five, six and seven-seater configurations. As an eight-seater, the Multivan has three individual seats each in the second and third rows – making this VW Bus even more flexible for comfortable travel with larger groups. As the rear seats can all be removed and moved individually, the Multivan’s full variability is retained. Pre-sales of the eight-seater, which is available in all equipment versions, start in the first European countries as early as 28 May 2025.
All-round talent: With up to eight seats, the Multivan is one of the most versatile private and business vehicles on the market. The Volkswagen is also perfect for use as a shuttle and taxi. Even with eight people on board, this VW Bus still offers 763 litres of stowage space – plenty of room for luggage and equipment of any kind.
200 millimetres more: The eight-seater Multivan is offered in all equipment versions, always based on the version with an extended rear overhang (total length: 5,173 mm). In the Multivan entry-level specification, the VW Bus is a five-seater with three individual seats in the second row as standard. The additional three individual seats for an eight-seater configuration cost 1,612.45 euros1. The Life and Edition equipment lines and the top-of-the-range Style version leave the factory in Hanover as seven-seater models as standard – they are equipped with two individual seats in the second row and three in the third row. As only one additional seat needs to be added here in the optional eight-seater configuration, the additional price for these models is 660.45 euros1 (including two folding tables on the backs of the second seat row).

Integral seat belts in the middle: The centre rear seats are equipped with an integrated three-point seat belt (integral belt seat). The outer seats of the Life, Style and Edition models are equipped with folding armrests in the second row. In these versions, the driver seat and front passenger seat are each equipped with two armrests (outside and inside) as standard – the elegant Multivan Style in particular with seats in ArtVelours fabric thus becomes a luxurious business van.
DSG as standard equipment: On the drive side, a turbodiesel engine (TDI) and a turbocharged petrol engine (TSI) are available for the Multivan configured with eight seats. The TDI delivers an output of 110 kW (150 PS), the TSI produces 150 kW (204 PS). All Multivan TDI and TSI models have front-wheel drive and a standard 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG)2.
