New to the SAF-HOLLAND Academy‘s training program are system training courses on self-steering and forced steering axles as well as on the hydraulically driven axle SAF INTRA CD TRAK. In addition, SAF-HOLLAND is once again offering its tried-and-tested Basic and Advanced training courses on parts dealership and service. Courses on brake technology complete the range.
Since 2015, the supplier to the commercial vehicles industry has pooled its professional training courses at the SAF-HOLLAND Academy in Aschaffenburg, Northern Bavaria: This is where service partners, spare parts dealers and vehicle manufacturers receive further training, where they practise operations and procedures from the industry directly on the suspension expert’s products and on a fully equipped training trailer. Moreover, SAF-HOLLAND also conducts its training courses regionally throughout Germany – directly in partner companies as well as in educational institutions of the chambers of industry, trade and commerce. In SAF-HOLLAND’s app SH CONNECT, which is available free of charge, interested parties can find all the training dates and register easily for the professional courses – even while on the go, in just a few taps.
Axle tips and tricks in system training
New to the SAF-HOLLAND Academy program are system training courses aimed at managers, employees and mechanics from service workshops and customer service. The course on self-steering and forced steering axles provides tips and tricks for repairing and maintaining various types of steering axle. Also on the agenda are system-related workshops and the identification of required spare parts.
In the training course on the driven axle SAF INTRA CD TRAK, participants learn everything they need to know about installing and retrofitting the hydraulic additional drive. Moreover, they deal with servicing, repair and the spare parts needed, and expand their knowledge in a variety of workshops. “With the new system training courses, we are responding to training needs for self-steering and forced steering axles. We also include our new driven axle in the SAF-HOLLAND Academy training program,” explains Roman Seitz, Director Service Customer Service at SAF-HOLLAND.
Training courses on parts dealership
The standard training program offered by the supplier to the commercial vehicles industry also includes basic and advanced training courses on parts dealership, which provide information about products, parts identification and the ordering process. Participants work with the SAF-HOLLAND app SH CONNECT and the Parts on Demand (PoD) online platform, which enables them to identify spare parts in just a few steps and order them from the well-equipped local network of dealers.
Service in practice
The service courses familiarise participants with SAF-HOLLAND products and INTEGRAL technology at basic and advanced levels. These offer them an overview of service and repair options, as well as warranty processing. “Executives, employees and mechanics in repair shops and customer service can expand their practical skills in workshops and active group work,” explains Reiner Wilhelm, Service Key Account Manager EMEA at SAF-HOLLAND.
SAF-HOLLAND offers a user training course specifically for brake technology, which teaches the basics, among other things. A servicing course deals with the maintenance of various brake types from Knorr, WABCO and SAF-HOLLAND as well as with spare parts needed for brake repair.
