Krone hands over a new sanitary container to the #Logistikhilft initiative, which is located on the premises of Paul Schockemöhle Logistics in Holdorf. Krone is once again supporting DocStop and will cover the rental costs of a sanitary container with toilet and shower on the premises of Paul Schockemöhle Logistics for one year. The sanitary container is located directly on the A1 motorway, Holdorf exit. The container is supplied and maintained by Schockemöhle. The use of the container is free of charge for truck drivers, who are particularly dependent on uninterrupted access to sanitary facilities with showers and toilets during the Corona pandemic.

During the handover of the new container, Dr. Frank Albers, Krone Managing Director Sales & Marketing, said: “With this campaign, we want to set a sustainable example together with Schockemöhle. Because unfortunately, the great appreciation shown to the many thousands of employees in the logistics industry during the Corona crisis last year has fallen into the background again. With this commitment, we would like to continue to pay our respect to the truck drivers and honour their achievements for society.”

The installation of the shower containers is taking place together with Paul Schockemöhle Logistics on behalf of the #Logistikhilft campaign. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, the Federal Association of Freight Transport Logistics and Disposal (BGL), DocStop and numerous companies from the forwarding and logistics industry. #Logistikhilft is exclusively donation-based. Krone is one of the first supporters and sponsors of #Logistikhilft.

DocStop Chairman Joachim Fehrenkötter thanked the supporters for the new location: “As an open platform, our #Logistikhilft initiative depends on good cooperation with the players in the transport and logistics industry. That is why we would like to express our sincere thanks to Krone and Schockemöhle Logistics for their support over the years. With this sanitary container, we can offer another base that ensures fair and appropriate working conditions for truck drivers.”

For Katrin Kampers, Managing Director of the Paul Schockemöhle Logistics Group, the support of #Logistikhilft is also a sign of appreciation: “We are pleased to be able to actively participate in this pioneering initiative. As a logistics company, we know the demanding daily work routine and how much truck drivers depend on safe and well-equipped locations for their breaks.”
