Start of pre-sales for the new ID. Buzz Pro and ID. Buzz Cargo on May 20

As of this Friday, the configurator will be enabled and pre-sales of the new ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo then begin in Germany and most markets of Europe. Whether as electric MPV for family, leisure or business, or as a delivery vehicle for companies, the zero-emission all-rounder can be ordered from 20 May 2022 at all Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealerships in Germany. Taking into account the environmental rebate in Germany, the gross list price for the five-seater ID. Buzz Pro is 56,606.30 EUR. ID. Buzz Cargo is available from 38,240 EUR net or from 46,455.60 EUR gross with deduction of the environmental rebate. Volkswagen Leasing GmbH offers leasing from EUR 661 gross for the ID. Buzz Cargo and EUR 693 gross for the ID. Buzz Pro on. The first vehicles will be delivered to customers this autumn.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering with these vehicles practical electric motoring for everyone who needs more space to live and work. The vehicles have zero on-road emissions, are connected and digitalised, can be kept on the latest software via over-the-air updates and thanks to being electrically powered are extremely economical. The five-seater ID. Buzz is launching across Europe initially in the premium ‘Pro’ version. In parallel, the ID. Buzz Cargo will also be available from the launch date. Both models are coming to market with fully connected infotainment systems, multifunction steering wheel, LED headlights, automatic air conditioning, cruise control and driver assist / warning systems such as Car2x and the emergency braking system Front Assist as standard (plus, on the ID. Buzz Pro, Lane Assist as standard).

Electric vehicles offer great cost-efficiency: like many countries in Europe, Germany too is currently running an incentive scheme for e-vehicles. The purchase of an ID. Buzz is being assisted this year with an environmental rebate of up to 7,500 euros, which gets deducted from the net list price. And there are other monetary benefits: exemption from vehicle tax (for 10 years in Germany), much lower energy costs by running on electric power and less need for maintenance (no oil changes, comparatively long intervals between services) and lower company car tax rate in Germany. Add to that sustainability: no competitor in Europe offers a stand-alone, all-electric MPV and van range in the Bulli’s class.

MEB drive system: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is equipping the ID. Buzz at launch with what is to date the ID. family’s biggest battery. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery provides energy content of 77 kWh (82 kWh gross) and supplies power to a 150 kW (204 PS) rear-mounted electric motor that develops 310 Nm from a standing start. The WLTP fuel consumption: 20.6 kWh / 100 km (Cargo: 20.4 kWh / 100 km). The range is up to 423 kilometres (Cargo: 425 km). Hooked up to a DC quick-charging station using the maximum charging power of up to 170 kW, the battery can be recharged from 5 to 80 per cent of its capacity in around 30 minutes.

The core markets in Europe: With zero on-road emissions, the ID. Buzz is ideal for all urban areas of Europe. The most important sales markets on the European continent include Germany, Great Britain, Norway, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Belgium and Spain – according to the sales forecasts, around 90 per cent of vehicle registrations in Europe will be spread between these countries.
