Pre-sales of the new Crafter start in Germany, and the first vehicles of the new model will be in dealerships from the summer. For the launch, two TDI engines in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox are already available in numerous body variants. Despite more comprehensive safety equipment and more convenience features that make everyday work in the new Crafter easier, the prices remain at the level of the predecessor model.
At the start of Crafter pre-sales, two TDI engines with an output of 103 kW or 130 kW, six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive will be available. Further drive variants – including versions with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and/or all-wheel drive and also with rear-wheel drive – will follow in the coming months. The body variants now available include the panel van with normal roof and two high-roof variants, two wheelbases and three vehicle lengths (6.0 to 7.4 metres), as well as the single-cab dropside and chassis models. Like its predecessor, the new Crafter offers a wide range of different body types: from closed panel vans to single and crew cabs as dropside and chassis models, as well as box bodies and tippers.
The prices of the new Crafter start in Germany at 44,440 euros (plus VAT) for the Crafter 35 panel van version with normal roof, 103 kW TDI engine and manual gearbox. Prices for the corresponding version with the 130 kW TDI engine start at 46,155 euros. The chassis with single cab starts at 41,545 euros (net). This means that the prices for the new model remain at the same level as those for its predecessor, despite significantly enhanced safety equipment and more convenience features. German dealers will start accepting orders from today, and the first deliveries will take place in the summer.
