OptiLock, a well-known name in trailer and container security, is entering a new chapter. Automotive supplier ZF has transferred the entire product line to Dutch company Imbema, a specialist in cargo and vehicle security.
From now on, production, stock, sales, and aftersales service for OptiLock will be managed from Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. This acquisition allows the brand to grow further and strengthen its position across Europe.
Both ZF and Imbema see the transition as a win-win agreement. OptiLock has been part of ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) division`s portfolio since 2016. Over the years, ZF has successfully established OptiLock as a trusted brand among trailer manufacturers, fleets, and drivers. However, shifting market priorities have led ZF to focus on its core business. After careful evaluation, the company decided that selling the OptiLock product line to an industry specialist like Imbema would be the best way to ensure continued service and innovation for customers.

The excellent reputation of cargo security solutions among European transporters will be maintained and further strengthened. Furthermore the remote control of OptiLock will continue to be supported via ZF´s SCALAR EVO Guard (or TX-connect solutions) as well.”
Imbema’s Managing Director, Marco de Wit in turn, is honored by the trust ZF has placed in Imbema. “We continue to grow as a key supply partner for the transport sector.
