TUAL, the leading innovator in swappable powerbanks and versatile charging solutions for commercial electric vehicles, today announces the appointment of Chantal Shearing as VP Product, effective immediately.
A seasoned automotive executive and engineer, Shearing has gained more than 25 years’ experience in the industry – an early mover in the e-mobility sector and playing instrumental roles in shaping electrification strategies for global OEMs.
In the UK and a host of global markets, Shearing has developed a deep understanding of the electric-vehicle charging infrastructure sector – bringing rich insight into industry roadmaps, its most pressing challenges, and its key priorities.
Having led the zero-emission vehicle charging infrastructure team at transport consultancy Steer Davies Gleave, Shearing assumed her most recent position as UK COO at Renault Group e-mobility business, Mobilize – overseeing the strategic rollout of its EV ecosystem and mobility offering in the UK. Her former position as e-mobility manager in her 20-year tenure at JLR saw her responsible for the business’ global public charging strategy, guiding product development to adapt to innovative new technologies and deliver on the needs of customers.
Shearing’s appointment comes during a pivotal growth-period for TUAL, as the business advances its go-to-market strategy for its industry-leading swappable powerbank and Battery-Buffered Charger solutions – set to maximise enterprise fleet uptime and transform their productivity, profitability, and utilisation in the electric age.
Philip Clarke, CEO and Founder of TUAL: “It’s a true pleasure to welcome Chantal to TUAL at what is a critical time in the electric-fleet transition. During the course of her work with automotive OEMs and in the transport sector, she’s gained a rich understanding of what fleets need in order to transition to electric-vehicles, and what they need to make that happen. Her profound expertise in the global EV charging space will further reinforce our ability to deliver innovative products that solve fleets’ most pressing issues shifting into the electric era, and we’re hugely excited to progress this mission together.”
Chantal Shearing, VP Product at TUAL: “Enterprise fleets represent a huge opportunity to accelerate progress in the race to decarbonise – and creating a robust business-case for them to electrify is critical to realising that progress. Whether through its in-vehicle PowerBank Pro-Charging offering, or its off-grid Battery-Buffered Charger solution, TUAL’s proprietary technology is giving enterprise fleets the power to make the business of vehicle-charging profitable and efficient, and I’m thrilled to join the business in driving these game-changing innovations forward.”
