The 2019 edition of Transpotec Logitec organised by Fiera Milano will take place from 21 to 24 February in Verona.

The Italian leading transport and logistics event will be back in Verona from the 21 to 24 February. Innovation, sustainability, digitisation, and safety are the 2019 edition’s assets, which are changing the market.

The 2019 edition of Transpotec Logitec – Italy’s leading haulage event organised by Fiera Milano – will take place from 21 to 24 February in Verona.

According to UNRAE, Italy has the oldest vehicle fleet operating in Europe, with an average age of 13.5 years. At Transpotec Logitec – which will stretch over 5 pavilions and external areas dedicated to the exhibition and road tests – you can see the evolution of the market and future scenarios in terms of energy efficiency, sustainable consumption, and safety through digitisation.

The Italian heavy-duty vehicle market confirms its positive trend. In fact, in 2018, the registrations of industrial vehicles above 3.5 tons have increased by 5.2% (25,615 units) compared to the same period in the previous year. On the other hand, registrations of heavy-duty vehicles above 16 tons have increased by 4.8% with 20,573 units (source: UNRAE, January 2019).

SUSTAINABILITY, DIGITISATION, AND SAFETY: INNOVATION UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT

Transpotec Logitec will provide industry players with a complete overview of the market: trucks, light-duty commercial vehicles, trailers, set-ups, components, services and logistic solutions.

The spotlight will be on efficiency, safety, comfort, and ease-of-use of the vehicles through equipment that can help professional hauliers and sustainable solutions. Digitisation and its developments allow hauliers to rationalise travels and time, coordinate activities with the fleet, and constantly monitor the vehicle, even remotely.

The 2019 edition will involve major heavy- and light-duty manufacturers, who will showcase their latest products, turning the spotlight especially on state-of-the-art engines or alternative fuels.

The event present a great offer of major manufacturers of trailers and semi-trailers, with models for any load requirement and type of material transported. Transpotec will also be home to made-to-measure solutions for all sectors, as well as proposals suited to the transport of all types of product and material.

Hall 11 will be dedicated to temperature-controlled transport, a vital resource to ensure both the preservation and traceability of the most delicate goods, such as food, medicines, horticultural products, works of art, and anything that can be damaged by temperature spikes. An ever-evolving market, in which isothermal van manufacturers keep investing in product research to be able to guarantee reliability, robustness, safety, versatility, and sustainable costs.

Transpotec Logitec will provide industry players with a complete overview of the market: trucks, light-duty commercial vehicles, trailers, set-ups, components, services and logistic solutions.

The aftermarket sector – spare parts, accessories, equipment, tools, lubricants, services – will be presented within the Aftermarket Village, organised by Parts Truck, DBInformation’s magazine. Hall 9 will welcome 34 companies specialising in the production and distribution of products and services for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles. Moreover, in the lounge area of the Aftermarket Village, there will be room for networking and meeting other industry players.

The 2019 edition of Transpotec Logitec will see the introduction of Logistic Village, the event organised by FIAP (Italian Federation of Professional Hauliers), in collaboration with Parts Truck and Logistica&Trasporti magazines of the DBInformation publishing group. The Logistic Village will be in the middle of hall 6, where meetings and workshops on the logistics and haulage world will take place involving institutional and international guests. ALIS – The Italian Logistics Association for Sustainable Mobility – has also confirmed its presence.

Piazza dell’Usato, the area dedicated to second-hand vehicles organised in collaboration with Camion Supermarket, Sandhills Italy’s magazine, will be back for the 2019 edition. Second-hand vehicles of the best manufacturers selected based on stringent control standards will be showcased over a surface of 2000 m2. An interesting space where to get a global view of the second-hand vehicle world and negotiate the best deal.

PROFESSIONALISM AND TRAINING: THE ROUTES TO TAKE

The busy schedule of training events ensures professional development and market vision thanks to the collaboration with major industry players: publishers, associations, and service providers close to the transport world.

The spotlight will also focus on the Awards. In particular:

  • the Fabio Montanaro Award, organised by Trasportare Oggi in Europa magazine in collaboration with Transpotec, will go to four individuals from different categories for their career or work within the transport sector: a specialised journalist, a communications manager, a transport company, and an individual who has stood out in this sector. The award ceremony will take place on 21 February.
  • Le Stelle del Trasporto – THE STARS OF TRANSPORT is organised by tuttoTrasporti and will take place on Saturday 23 February. This event will award the best practices among logistics players, producers of goods and services, and small and large enterprises.

THE FAIR OUTSIDE THE FAIR

Transpotec Logitec has dedicated outdoor spaces for truck tests, which will be conducted on city circuits. These drive tests, coordinated by the magazine tuttoTrasporti, will start from Area F and will allow visitors to assess the features and manoeuvrability of the vehicles under real driving conditions.
