With the two-axle trailer “Load Carrier Building” and the semi-trailer “Profi Liner Building“, Krone offers vehicle concepts that are specially tailored to the requirements of the construction industry and can be flexibly configured.

The Load Carrier Building

The “Load Carrier Building” is a two-axle trailer that is perfect for transporting a wide variety of building materials. The clear internal length can be 6.5 m, 6.9 m, 7.1 m or 7.3 m, depending on requirements. Both the Kinnegrip stanchions and the side and rear walls can be easily folded down and removed to allow completely free side loading. The solid workmanship, the stable equipment and the numerous quality components ensure minimum life cycle costs. In the latest generation, the Load Carriers have even greater torsional stability with a lower dead weight.

All equipment details are easy to operate so that the driver can always load and unload the Load Carrier construction material transporter safely and in a time-saving manner. The sturdy, 1,000 mm high drop sides are fitted as standard with continuous tie rods that extend all the way to the hinge blocks. This provides additional stability and safety. At the front right and rear left, the side walls are each equipped with two recessed folding steps and thus offer safe access to the loading area.

The forklift collision protection integrated into the outer frame prevents damage to the folded-down dropside during loading and unloading operations. The operation of the 1,000 mm high drop sides can be facilitated by the optionally available drop side lifting aid. This lifting aid is gas-spring assisted and can also be retrofitted for the new model series. In order to achieve an optimal loading width from the rear or from the side, the corner stanchions can be mounted at the rear transversely to the direction of travel (standard) or alternatively at the side longitudinally to the direction of travel. Six sets of stanchion pockets are optionally available, which are recessed in the outer frame as well as in the central Multi Rail lashing rail.

The bulkhead is available in either 1,200 mm or 1,600 mm height. Tensioning chains are available as an optional extra to prevent the body from unhinging when carrying heavy loads.

For plenty of additional storage space, the Load Carrier Construction Material Transport can be equipped with pallet and storage boxes in different sizes, all of which meet the criteria for side impact protection. The following are available: the 50 kg tool box (right or left); as an alternative to the tool box, the approx. 1 m wide 70 kg stowage box; the full-width stowage box that opens on both sides (approx. 2,400 mm x 674 mm x 350 mm), suitable for long materials such as insert stanchions); and the pallet box for 24 pallets. An optional end wall depot for edge protection is available, which can be mounted at different heights.

The Profi Liner Building

The Profi Liner platform semitrailer from Krone is well thought out down to the last detail and equipped with particularly high-quality standard components. The welded chassis, the cathodic dip painting and the award-winning Krone Multi Lock outer frame stand for high stability, optimum protection – and a high resale value in the second trailer life.

Especially for the construction industry, the “Profi Liner Building” is available as an open box with drop sides in heights of 550 mm and 750 mm. The bulkhead is 1,200 mm, 1,600 mm or 2,000 mm high, as required. Four drop sides are supplied in combination with folding stanchions. An integrated collision protection prevents dropside damage when loading and unloading from the side.

Further load securing elements

Ten pairs of stanchion pockets in the outer frame and ten pairs in the centre offer additional possibilities for securing long material. In order to be able to build temporary end walls further back in the vehicle, Krone also offers the option of increasing the first two rows of stanchion pockets in the neck area from three to five. This ensures optimum load distribution.

If even more stanchion pockets are required, stanchion pocket cassettes can be ordered. With ten rows of stanchion pocket cassettes at right angles to the direction of travel, including integrated lashing possibilities for tension belts, every load should be optimally secured. And if the stanchion pockets are not needed, Krone offers stanchion pocket plugs for a level loading area.
