SOLUTRANS, the international tradeshow for the commercial vehicle industry, today announced the kick-off of the 2025 edition of its prestigious I-nnovation AWARDS: a unique opportunity to distinguish innovation in the transport sector.
These awards aim to highlight the most outstanding innovations in the fields of heavy goods and light commercial vehicles, sustainable mobility and urban logistics.
Whether the products have already been launched on the market or are still in their development phase, the awards recognise solutions that contribute to improving the performance of vehicles with bodywork and to driving forward companies in the sector.
Recognition for the sector’s pioneers
The I-nnovation AWARDS aim to reward companies and organisations offering original solutions in the following categories:
Body Builders,
Equipment Suppliers,
Digitalisation and Connectivity,
Cargo Bikes
in a bid to highlight the technological and environmental breakthroughs that will shape the future of the sector.
Once again this year, a special ‘Joseph LIBNER’ award will be presented to recognise an innovation that has had a significant impact on the energy transition in transport.
Acting as a veritable springboard for new solutions, these awards promote innovation and accelerate their time to market, as demonstrated by the winners of SOLUTRANS 2023:
Christophe Rothan, Chief Commercial Officer (ELECTRO MAINTENANCE):
“Taking part in the I-nnovation Awards was an obvious choice to highlight the innovation of our Hyphen Tech brand, specialising in connected solutions for industrial bodywork […] The visibility gained from the award was immediate and helped us to increase the number of contacts and development requests, as well as strengthening our customer relationships.”
Laure LEVILLAIN, Marketing & Communications Manager (LECAPITAINE):
“The two prizes we won at the 2023 Innovation Awards considerably raised Lecapitaine’s profile and reputation, boosting our credibility among our customers, partners and prospective customers, while also drawing the attention of the specialised media. Thanks to this distinction, we have been able to step up our research and development efforts and launch new initiatives aimed at further improving our solution.”
Arnaud De Ponnat, CEO (BENALU):
“At SOLUTRANS 2023, we entered the I-nnovation Awards to bring our teams together and highlight the inventive capabilities of the company, which has always had innovation as its hallmark […]. Receiving these awards had an immediate impact inside the company, resulting in our teams becoming more mobilised around innovation-related topics.”
A panel of experts for an evening blending innovation and tradition
A judging panel made up of industry professionals, innovation experts and specialised journalists will assess the entries based on criteria such as technology, environmental performance, economic impact and the originality of the projects.
The winners of the 2025 edition will be honoured at an exceptional evening event, to be held on 18 November, the opening day of the exhibition, in the prestigious setting of the Parilly racecourse, a stone’s throw from Lyon Eurexpo. Nearly 300 guests are expected to attend.
This symbolic location was chosen as a nod to the 180th anniversary of the FFC, owner of SOLUTRANS, and to the legacy of industrial bodywork, whose roots go back to the trade of wheelwright and horse-drawn vehicles.
The Berliet Foundation, which has been working for over 40 years to preserve the heritage of heavy-duty vehicles, will also be honoured. It will receive a special award and will exhibit several vehicles, both at the racecourse and in the aisles of the show.
How to enter
Exhibitors wishing to submit their innovations can now register their products and solutions through their dedicated exhibitor account on the SOLUTRANS website. The deadline for entries is 20 October.
