The SAF-HOLLAND Group will be presenting its high-quality product portfolio – from modern suspension systems to intelligent trailer accessories – at SOLUTRANS in Lyon from 16 to 20 November 2021. The highlights at Hall 3 A015 are the new, electric regenerative braking axle SAF TRAKr, practical vehicle components and the spare parts services from the supplier of commercial vehicle parts.
SAF-HOLLAND has been renowned for high-quality trailer accessories for decades and focuses its product development on a high level of safety, the longest possible service life and modern technologies. “This is how we create added value for commercial vehicle manufacturers and haulage companies. With our new electric axles, in particular the SAF TRAKr regenerative braking axle, we are ready for a sustainable future. We are delighted that we will have the opportunity to communicate this at SOLUTRANS 2021 in person,” says Jean Baghdad, Managing Director at SAF-HOLLAND France.
For “green” transports: electric axles from SAF-HOLLAND
For electric trailers, SAF-HOLLAND has launched the SAF TRAKr electric axle. It uses regenerative braking to minimise fuel consumption as well as the CO2 and particulate emissions of the trailers. This protects the environment and extends the service life of the individual components. Another contribution to protecting resources: The generators on the electric axle are manufactured without rare earth metals and without copper. “Our electrically driven axles make heavy-goods transport more sustainable and also more efficient,” explains Jean Baghdad.
The preferred application for the SAF TRAKr are refrigerated vehicles in which auxiliary consuming units such as the refrigeration units or heaters can be run fully with electric power on a temporary basis. First user experiences and findings from the current test phase in international transport are also used in the further development.
The Trailermaster telematics system, which networks components and supplies digital data in real time, will also be presented at SOLUTRANS. The application modernises transport processes, simplifies fleet management for large fleets and increases effectiveness, so that fleets are better able to handle the increasing competitive pressure.
From axles to kingpins: the SAF-HOLLAND product range
In Lyon, SAF-HOLLAND will also be showing elements of its extensive accessories range for commercial vehicles: the SAF INTRADISC plus INTEGRAL axle with twopart brake disc or drum brake, the SAF MODUL air suspension systems as well as landing gears from SAF-HOLLAND and the subsidiary brand SAUER QUALITY PARTS. In addition, the supplier for commercial vehicle parts will present safe and robust fifth wheels for different applications, spare parts from SAF-HOLLAND and SAUER QUALITY PARTS, kingpins, couplings from the Italian subsidiary V.ORLANDI and a selection of rims.
