Quantron AG, a specialist in sustainable passenger and freight transportation, announced that it is furthering its global partnerships with international commercial vehicle and component manufacturers at the VDA International Press Workshop in Frankfurt am Main. QUANTRON’s goal is to offer zero emission commercial vehicles at comparable costs to equivalent diesel vehicles on the back of these partnerships. Further details on these partnerships will be shared at the IAA Transportation fair starting on 16th September 2024.
QUANTRON as a company is still young but has been successful in delivering more than 200 zero-emission commercial vehicles on the road and into customer hands.
This includes the battery-electric CIZARIS 12m city bus, which is being operated by customers in Italy and Austria.
Further, the product portfolio covers light trucks for the last mile and heavy trucks, with QUANTRON offering both battery and fuel cell electric power trains in this product range.
The company is particularly proud of its flagship QUANTRON QHM FCEV AERO. It is a heavy-duty tractor unit with GVW up to 44 tons, available as both BEV and FCEV versions. Both variants are characterized by full usability without restrictions and can substitute a Diesel powered vehicle without limitations, due to innovative packaging and intelligent technology features.
Besides the battery-electric QUANTRON QLI BEV, the company now also has the fuel-cell powered QUANTRON QLI FCEV light truck in daily operations with IKEA in Austria as a customer. The latter began as a prototype hydrogen-powered vehicle less than two years back, but it has already developed into a vehicle that is successfully in customer use. With a short refuelling time and a range of up to 450 km, the QUANTRON QLI FCEV is proving to be the ideal complement to battery electric vehicles offered by the company in this segment.

QUANTRON QLI FCEV hydrogen transporter: already in use by customers
The QUANTRON QLI FCEV has taken a leading position in its market segment and is already being deployed successfully by customers. IKEA Austria in Vienna, for example, has five vehicles in daily use, which now ensure sustainable deliveries to customers.
The QUANTRON QLI FCEV offers:
