In autumn GAZ will start series production of totaly new truck GAZ Valdai Next.
Valdai is the name of hills betwen Moscow and Sankt-Petersburg.
Valdai Next will use cab from chinesian Foton. Engine is Cummins 2.8 also from China, manual gearbox — new GAZ with 6 gears. Other components are coming from heavier Gazon Next truck: it means, that Valdai Next is ready for overloading. Truck is equipped with ESP and, for example, powerful heating for russian winter, as option — air-condition and engine preheater.
GVW is 6,7 tonnes, payload of chassis — 3,7 tonnes. It means, that new truck will locate between Gazelle Next in heavy version (4,6 t GVW) and Gazon Next (8,7 t GVW). This segment in Russia is covered today by asian trucks like Hyundai, Fuso, Hino and Foton. New truck will fully compete with these models.
