Karsan signed e-ATA contracts with the cities of Chitila and Focşani for a total of 42 units

Playing a leading role in the transformation of public transportation to electric and autonomous vehicles in Europe, Karsan continues to steadily expand its presence in Romania, one of its main target markets. Acting with the vision of being “One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility”, Karsan signed a new contract for the delivery of 21 10-meter e-ATA buses in Chitila, Romania. Karsan also signed a new contract for 21 units with the city of Focșani, with which it had recently reached an agreement for 10 10-meter e-ATA buses. Deliveries for both cities will be completed in 2026. As of today, Karsan’s fleet of electric vehicles has expanded to more than 40 cities and is in active service all over Romania.

Karsan stamp on electric public transportation in Romania

Karsan reinforces its role as the pioneer of electric public transportation transformation in Romania with new agreements. The company has signed a new contract for 21 10-meter e-ATA vehicles for the city of Chitila, in addition to the vehicles it has already delivered. With this delivery, the number of Karsan electric vehicles in Chitila will reach 44. On the other hand, as part of the new agreement signed with the city of Focșani in the east of the country, 21 10-meter e-ATA will be put into service in 2026. Together with the previous deliveries, the total Karsan electric vehicle fleet in Focșani will increase to 47 units. The fact that the electric transformation process in both cities started with Karsan vehicles adds a special meaning to these projects. Karsan, which is currently serving in Romania with 380 electric vehicles, continues to offer sustainable mobility throughout the country.
