Playing a leading role in the electric and autonomous transformation of public transportation in the world, Karsan continues to expand its global vehicle park day by day with the new generation models it has developed. Continuing its activities in a wide geography from the USA to Japan, Karsan is increasing its strength with new collaborations and agreements in its main target markets. In this context, the company is preparing to serve with 12-meter born electric Karsan e-ATA buses in Constanța, one of the most important tourism cities of the country. Having signed an agreement with the Municipality of Constanta, one of the most influential cities in Romania in tourism, for 22 e-ATA 12 meters, Karsan will thus start providing services in 49 different locations of the country.
Karsan park in Romania will reach 525 vehicles
Karsan, which had previously signed agreements for the delivery of 22 units of e-ATA 12m to the Romanian city of Craiova, followed by the delivery of 20 units of e-JEST to the city of Buzau, 30 units of e-ATA 12m to Sibiu, 3 units of e-ATA 18m to the city of Șimleu Silvaniei, 16 units of e-ATA 10m to the city of Buzau, and 6 units of e-JEST to the municipalities of Alba Iulia and Ciuhud. In addition to these, according to the agreement signed with the Constanta Municipality, the born electric 12-meter Karsan e-ATA buses, which will be delivered in 2025, will make a great contribution to environmentally friendly transportation in the region. Stating that Karsan continues to grow with its main target markets, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “Romania has a special importance for us as one of the most important milestones of our growth in the field of electric public transportation and at the same time as the country where the first born electric e-JEST is exported. As of today, this figure will increase rapidly in a short time in Romania, where we serve with our 285 vehicles, almost doubling. Our strong cooperation with our Romanian distributor Anadolu Automobile Rom has a great share in this success. With this agreement we signed with Constanța, which is one of the most important symbols of the friendly relations between Romania and Türkiye, and the delivery of our recent work, the total number of electric vehicles in the country will reach 525 by the end of this year.” Emphasizing that they will continue to grow in the Romanian market, Okan Baş said, “As Karsan, we will continue to expand our electric vehicle park in Romania with new collaborations and agreements in the coming period, as we have done so far, with the vision of being ‘One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility’. Our goal is to have the largest electric public transport fleet in Romania by 2025 and we continue to make great strides on this path.“
