The transport company Alsa will participate as a Global Partner in the Global Mobility Call which is to be held at IFEMA MADRID from 19 to 21 November, and will bring together the main actors involved in the development of sustainable transport. The company will focus its participation on highlighting and contributing to the debate on the keys to transforming people’s mobility in the short and medium term.
The event, organised by IFEMA MADRID together with Smobhub, will be attended by the CEO of Alsa, Francisco Iglesias, who will highlight the importance of public-private collaboration and regulation in transforming mobility at this international event.
For Alsa, public-private collaboration in the development of mobility strategies is key for compliance with environmental, social and land-use planning policies In the current context of transformation and accelerated change, the company believes it is necessary to deepen collaboration between administrations, companies and the third sector. The Global Mobility Call will outline the regulatory changes needed to more effectively articulate this relationship and strengthen regulation as the foundation of the public mobility system.
In this sense, some of the key points to be addressed in the short term are the challenges arising from decarbonisation, mobility as a right, the relevance of the Sustainable Mobility Law and the risks of deregulation.
The company will also contribute its vision on customer experience and new mobility, with important aspects such as the need to place people at the centre of mobility policies and the keys to accelerate the necessary modal shift towards collective transport, as well as the necessary measures to be adopted to encourage its use.
Finally, they will highlight the challenges posed by the financing of sustainable mobility and the formulas for overcoming the limitations of the current model, which will serve to achieve balanced financing for all modes of transport across all territories, as well as the new scenario that will be generated with the Social Climate Fund and the extension of the Emissions Trading Scheme.
