The new Crafter models 1), 2) are now available to order: together with AMF-Bruns and Snoeks, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering several new Crafter variants at the beginning of the year. Here, everything is available from a single source – thanks to single-invoice transactions, customers can rely on the proven service provided by Volkswagen commercial vehicle dealerships.
Full flexibility: the very first Crafter Kombi vehicles for passenger transport for the driver and up to eight passengers are already in the hands of customers. And one to four wheelchair users can also be transported alternatively or in combination. An optional ramp can be ordered from the Apen-based second stage manufacturer AMF-Bruns. This facilitates inclusive use of the Crafter at the rear of the large van from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

The Crafter Kombi for passenger transport is available in the lengths L3 (5,986 mm, wheelbase: 3,640 mm) and L4 (6,836 mm, and 4,490 mm wheelbase), and can be equipped with electric steps and the required wheelchair restraint systems. When these systems are not needed, they can be stowed safely in a stowage box behind the right wheel housing. A seat occupancy detection system including display for all seven passenger seats in the passenger compartment supports the vehicle driver with regard to optimum road safety.
The Crafter panel van Plus version also offers great variability. Together with second stage manufacturer Snoeks from the Netherlands, the model – also known colloquially as the ‘Holland double cab’ – can be configured with three or four passenger seats in the second row of seats and at the front optionally with one driver/front passenger seat each or alternatively a front passenger bench seat (for two front passengers). This makes it possible to transport five to seven people, and there is still a large, separate load compartment. The Plus variant based on the Crafter is available in three different lengths thanks to two wheelbases and in two different heights.
The prices of the Crafter Kombi solution1) in Germany start at 50,606 euros net (60,221.14 euros gross) for the conversion by body builder AMF-Bruns – this version comes with a 103 kW diesel engine, front-wheel drive and six-speed manual gearbox. The Crafter Kombi is available in a total of 13 different engine/gearbox combinations, including a 130-kW TDI diesel engine, eight-speed automatic gearbox and with all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The prices for the Crafter panel van Plus2) in Germany start at 46,597 euros net (55,450.43 euros gross) with the smallest engine/gearbox variant (103-kW TDI with front-wheel drive and six-speed manual gearbox) and five seats.
